A few days ago, Symphony Services' David Carpini spoke about the latest trends in offshore product development at the Intellect UK's Outsourcing & Offshoring groups conference on offshore product development.

While the presentation was well received, the funny thing was the way we were introduced.  When they called David up they referenced Symphony as "the IBM of OPD" (OPD means Offshore Product Development).  Now David had a little laugh about it, but I believe it's much more than a throwaway funny line.  Over the last 6 years, Symphony has truly been at the forefront of the OPD market.

Now I realize when I say it, it's like my mother telling me I'm handsome, but now I've got some third-party validation.  Just yesterday at their signature conference, the 2009 Global Services 100 was unveiled.  Not only did Symphony make the list for the 4th consecutive year, but for the first time, they introduced an OPD sub-category and Symphony was judged the #1 rated OPD company in the world.

I guess it was a long due and Symphony certainly deserves this honor!
